Objective: To provide you with an opportunity to identify how to communicate with and mentor team members on ways of working that contribute to continuous improvement, and communicate with and coach team members how they can be innovative.

Equipment needed:

• Opportunity to communicate with another learner/colleague
• Suitable space for a roleplay.

Question 3 of this activity will need to be observed.

1. Explain the continuous improvement and innovation strategy/process and its benefits.
2. Identify three different types of continuous improvement strategies.
3. Conduct a roleplay with another learner, with yourself acting as the manager and your peer acting as your team member. Discuss the 3 strategies for continuous improvement and innovation and the benefits of implementing them. Demonstrate that you can communicate and mentor team members effectively during the roleplay. (I need your roleplay script to guide my work only. I will not submit your original script and take it as mine.)

The roleplay should last around 10-15 minutes and can be conducted in a workplace or simulated workplace environment.
