OBJECTIVES The aim of the experiment is to: 1. To introduce system modelling and presentation concepts for different control systems and familiarise students with the basic mathemetical modelling techniques required to understand system behaviour 2. To understand system performance and behaviour. 3. To use MATLAB to analyse system behaviour and evaluate system performance EQUIPMENTS 1. Laptop /PC 2. MATLAB TASK This model is for an active suspension system where an actuator is included that is able to generate the control force U to control the motion of the bus body. (A diagram of suspension system is shown in Figure 1). Design an automotive suspension system where the suspension system designed with a 1/4 model (one of the four wheels) and is used to simplify the problem to a 1D multiple spring-damper system.
