Activity 3: Plan and implement individual learning experience

In this activity, you need to plan learning activities/experiences based on the observations and extension opportunities identified in Activity 2, for at least three individual children. Engage the children in the development of a skill, knowledge or learning area using play and intentional teaching, supporting all areas of development and promoting self-esteem, self-help and independence.

You are required to plan three experiences, one for three individual children, including:

  • One indoor experience
  • One outdoor experience
  • One experience that promotes and represents Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, their cultures, and languages

In your planning, you will need to consider:

  • Teaching strategies and your role as educator, role model etc.
  • The use of the environment and how the space will be organised/set up to provoke interest and engage the child as well as the resources needed.
  • How will you assess the child's learning/skill development - what you will be looking for as well as what tools/methods you would use.
  • Follow the National Quality Framework, service standards, policies, and procedures

Once the experiences are planned, you are required to implement them in the service and record the observations in the provided template.
