Observe a teacher who presents a lesson in one of the following areas: Language Arts, Math, Science or Social Studies.

Take observation notes regarding the lesson content, the teacher's techniques and the reactions of the students to the lesson. Did the teacher use specific adaptations or accommodations used in presentation and/or assessment of the material. Compare the changes in presentation or assessment. Judge if a student with a disability would need additional changes to be successful in the lesson you observed.

Imagine that the teacher had four other children in the classroom: a child with an intellectual disability, a child with a learning disability in reading a child with an other health impairment (ADHD) a child with autism. Describe various adaptations, modifications or accommodations a teacher might need to employ in the classroom.
