Of all the units that are available to form a MNJTF headquarters within a Joint Operations Area, the 1 Corps is the most suitable to serve this purpose because of its command structure and enablers. The 1 Corps is capable of conducting crisis response and limited contingency operations. Once 1 Corps becomes a MNJTF headquarters it will be equipped with additional forces to support the non-permissive entry operations
