Mr A lives in Johannesburg, and he offers to sell his car to Mr B, who lives in Cape Town, via email. The car is a Toyota Hilux, for R300 000. In his email, Mr A states that the offer will fall away on 3 August 2021. Mr B accepts Mr A's offer via email on 1 August 2021.

However, Mr A only reads the email on 5 August 2021.
