Officer Williams was in charge of solving a recent string of burglaries that had occurred in homes in the neighborhood.  The police figured that only a petite person could have fit through the points of entries into the homes because they were very narrow.  The police concluded that their suspect was not likely a male as men are not typically that thin or petite.  The police figured a woman had committed the offenses because the entry points into the homes were very small.  On routine patrol, Officer Williams observed a very petite woman walking down the street named Sonya.  He observed she was 5'0" and roughly 100 pounds.  He figured he would talk to her about the crimes to see if she was involved as she potentially could be a suspect in the crimes.  Officer Williams approached Sonya and asked her who she was and why she was walking down the street.  Knowing that she had done nothing wrong, Sonya didn't wish to speak to the officer and told him to leave her alone and began to walk away.  Officer Williams was offended because he thought she should want to be a good citizen and help the police solve a crime.  He got mad at her for not respecting his position of prominence in the community.  He grabbed her arm and demanded her to not walk away from him.  Upon him doing so, Sonya told him to get his hands off her and demanded to speak with her attorney.  This made Officer Williams believe Sonya had something to hide and concluded she was the likely burglar in the cases he was tasked in solving.  Based on his, he arrested Sonya for multiple burglaries.  Later, Sonya contended that she was unlawfully arrested and that the police had no basis to arrest her for burglary.
