In addition, apart from a second shift, an extra third shift can be used which costs 750 dollars/shift in tower (A and D) and 700 dollars/shift in tower (B and C). The extra shift would add 1500, 2000, 1500 and 1000 hours in production time, respectively. However, the third production shift could only be used, if the respective second shift was used. In a recent board meeting, the Company management has set the following goal: G1: meet a production of 90000 tons of Gasoline G2: meet a production of 49000 tons of diesel fuel G3: meet a production of 37000 tons of asphalt base G4: not to exceed a total amount 9000 additional production hours. Furthermore Oil Kansas would like to know what priority level should be considered that would best benefit the company.
