Okay, I know this seems like a really basic question but I just want to finally clear it up. If I have x-4x^3+8(5x-2) for example, I distribute all the terms outside into the terms within the brackets right? I'm asking because I've seen that but I've also seen where only the 8 is distributed in and that also makes sense because the 8 has to be multiplied in because of the brackets but the 4x^3 is seperated by the addition sign.
