Doctors-in-Air (Pty) Ltd is involved in flying medical doctors to remote areas throughout the country. For this purpose, Doctors-in-Air (Pty) Ltd owns a fleet of helicopters. The company has a financial year end of 31 December. On 1 May 20.20. Doctors-in-Air (Pty) Ltd purchased another helicopter on credit from a supplier for R4 350 000. The useful life of the helicopter was estimated at 5 years, with a residual value of R1 450 000 In addition to the purchase price, Doctors-in-Air (Pty) Ltd also paid R725 000 through an EFT to equip the helicopter with emergency medical equipment so that it can be used as an air ambulance. The medical equipment will be regarded as an integral part of the helicopter and will also have a useful life of 5 years with a residual value of Rnil. Legislation requires that all helicopters flown in South Africa must undergo a major inspection before being allowed to undertake flights, which is renewable every three years. The first major inspection after equipping it with the necessary medical equipment was done on 1 July 20.20 at a cost of R261 000, and the helicopter was ready for use as an air ambulance on this date. The value in use of the helicopter was estimated at R3 625 000 on 31 December 20.21, and the fair value also at R3 625 000, but with an estimated R29 000 costs to sell it. Ignore all VAT implications Complete the table below to calculate the initial cost of the helicopter that must be capitalised
