Oliver Owner owned a house that he rented out. Oliver rented the house to Robert Renter and his wife. Robert's wife did some remodeling in the house, including installing new carpet on the floors, new cabinets in the kitchen and painting the bedrooms. Robert paid for the carpet, floors and paint. Later, Oliver promised to payRobert's wife $5,000.00 for the carpet, floors and the other work Robert's wife had done. Oliver and Robert signed a document to this effect wherein Oliver agreed to pay Robert the $5,000.00 for the carpet, floors and paint.
