On 1 July 2021 Poppy acquired 80% of the equity of Lilly. The functional currency of Lilly is the Lupin (L). The financial statements are as follows. Statements of profit or loss and other comprehensive income for the year ended 30 June 2022 : Idditional information: Poppy has a policy of valuing non-controlling interest using the fair value method. At the date of acquisition the fair value of the NCl in Lilly was L4.5 million. 2. An impairment review identified that goodwill in Lilly should be written down by L2 million. 3. At the date of acquisition the fair value of the net assets of Lilly was the same as the book value with the exception of an item of plant. This plant had a fair value of L60,000 above the carrying value and an estimated remaining useful life of 3 years. 4. Lilly has not paid any dividends during in the post-acquisition period. 5. Poppy purchased 30% of the equity in Dandelion on 1 July 2021 which gave gives Poppy significant influence over Dandelion. For the year ended 30 June 2022 Dandelion made a profit of 1.2 million and had not paid any dividends during the year. 6. The presentational currency for the group is the .
