On 26th May 2020, the UKs Guardian newspaper reported that mining company Rio Tinto had blasted a 46,000 year old Aboriginal site to expand its iron ore mining Although the blast was legal, the site was unique and the question was asked, How significant does something have to be, to be valued by wider society Five days later, the Guardian reported that Rio Tinto was sorry for the distress they had caused destroying Aboriginal caves How far does an apology go to making the situation alright? What other thoughts do you have about this based on your experience?
