On a daily basis, humankind is challenged with making various simple and complex decisions. Many of these decisions may result in life$-$changing scenarios. To this end, humankind often hesitates in making decisions; thus, they experience a great deal of stress because of this hesitation.

De Bono suggested the concept fan as a way of making decisions, decision trees and suggested several other methodologies.
