On November 10, Christopher inherited his parents' house along with 50 years of accumulated property owned by his parents. Christopher held a yard sale to try to sell some of the accumulated items. One of the items offered for sale was a dusty painting of a hummingbird which had been in the garage for at least the past 30 years. He asked $10.00 for it because it had nice frame. Lucy, his neighbor, liked the painting and purchased the painting from Christopher for $10.00. Lucy then had the painting appraised and learned that it was worth $800,000. She immediately sold it to the Metropolitan Art Museum for $800,000. Two weeks later, while Christopher was watching the local news, he saw the painting in a news story about how the Metropolitan Museum had recently acquired the lost work of art for $800,000. Christopher is angry and wants to get his painting back. 1. Based upon contract law principles, is Christopher legally entitled to get the painting back and recind the contract? 2. Specifically state the legal rule or principle, as discussed in class, to support your answer to part "a" above
