On your last day before winter break you pack up your binders and textbooks and put them in your backpack. On your way home you decide to climb a tree and you move out onto a branch that is 3 m above a frozen pond. The pond is in a little valley so there is no wind making the surface frictionless. You slip off the branch and fall to the middle of the frictionless pond. Can you save yourself? If so how or does the 2nd law of thermodynamics take over causing you to freeze?
