One common debate in teams research revolves around how many people should be placed on a team. One side argues that more people on a team is better because it increases diversity and perspectives and will lead to better decisions. The other side argues to keep the number of people on a team smaller because large groups will quarrel and make little substantive progress because too many of the team resources are going to team maintenance.
