One of the demands of recent labour strikes in different countries has been to re-introduce defined benefit plans for workers. In response to this demand a retirement income policy maker commented that "While defined benefit plans perform well when judged by some of the criteria that retirement income systems are judged by they perform poorly on other criteria". Explain whether this is an accurate comment by highlighting the different criteria we reviewed this semester that are used to evaluate retirement income systems
