One of the hallmarks of the 2010 Affordable Care Act is its mandated health insurance coverage for contraception. However, in October 2017, the Trump administration made it easier for an employer, nonprofit or for-profit, to exclude the contraceptive coverage from the health plan an employer offers to its employees if the employer has religious objections though its execution is blocked by courts.
