One of the most talked about events of the year thus far was Elon Musk's attempted purchase of Twitter. In a controversial move, Musk offered to purchase Twitter for $44 billion earlier this year the agreement was memoralized and appeared to be finalized, before Musk later tried to cancel the agreement and Twitter suing Musk in order to force his performance in completing the purchase. A lawsuit is currently pending with both parties challenging the other side's position.
