A researcher is interested in how many days it takes athletes to recover from jet lag when they have to fly to and compete in another time zone. It is commonly known that traveling east (moving "ahead" in time) leads to more severe jet lag than traveling west. The researcher finds 18 professional athletes who just traveled a long distance; six stayed in the same time zone, six traveled west, and six traveled east. We want to know if there is a statistically significant effect of traveling within and to different time zones. Here are the data associated with this study.
