Open the Excel file ``fiftyper_spring2023.xlsx. This file gives the 50th percentile rents for residences in the counties in a region of the US along with the county populations in the year 2000. Create a table on the worksheet FirstFactor with the following five population factor levels: 0 to 10000, 10001 to 50000, 50001 to 100000, 100001 to 500000, 500001 and above. Place the rent levels under these column headers. Do not sort the data or do anything to alter the order in which the observations occur. Part I: Using only the first 100 rent level observations in each factor group from the sheet FirstFactor, do the following: a) Create an ANOVA table on the sheet ``Anova1. b) Report the p-value, MSW, MSBc, and df for MSW in your write-up, using complete sentences. c) Does the ANOVA support the hypothesis that there is a difference between rents due to the factor levels? Discuss in your write-up using complete sentences. d) Calculate the Fisher LSD at the .05 level of significance from the ANOVA report data. e) If justified by the ANOVA, perform the Fisher Least Significant difference test on the data using the ANOVA report. Part II: Copy all data from FirstFactor to the sheet SecondFactor. On the sheet SecondFactor collect a random sample of 100 rent levels from each column and put only the random sample on the sheet Sample. a) On the sheet ``Anova2 create an ANOVA table from your random sample on the sheet Sample. b) Report the p-value, MSW, MSBc, and df for MSW in your write-up, using complete sentences. c) Does the ANOVA support the hypothesis that there is a difference between rents due to the factor levels? If so, does it appear to support it more or less strongly than ANOVA you performed in Part I? Discuss in your write-up using complete sentences, justifying your answers. d) If justified by the ANOVA, perform the Fisher Least Significant difference test on the data using the ANOVA report.
