ACE FRESH FOOD GROCERIES Ace Fresh Food Groceries is a grocery store chain established in Manila for more than 10 years. The company is now starting to expand to other places in Metro Manila. It started to open new stores in Makati and Quezon City then in Caloocan and Pasay. Executives started to circle their interest in Taguig City since it started to increase population there. Angie Ortiz, the manager in Manila has been asked to relocate to Makati to open and manage the new store of the company. She has decided to accept the offer because it is a challenge for her. As an lvatan woman, she has faced lots of discrimination throughout her career, but she rejects to be put off by glass ceiling or any other obstacles. She knows very clearly that she will be living and working with people of several cultures and collide and of course she will be hiring and managing a diverse workforce. Ortiz has the support of higher management of Ace Fresh Food Groceries which wants to reflect a positive image in staff and product quality among the surrounding communities of Makati. So she decided to hire employees both young and older people who would cater to the needs of both generations. She will be asking their ideas on the selection of some food products, including some not-so-familiar brands so that customers shall be offered their needs and wants in Ace Fresh Food Groceries. Further, Ortiz wants to be certain that Ace Fresh Food Groceries offers services far beyond the standards of other groceries to entice the local and foreign customers of Makati. She has in mind to start implementing home deliveries to customers who offer either senior citizen or physically incapacitated. She would see to it that most of her employees know conversational English in order to respond to the needs of foreign customers.
