Chapter 6 - Perception Jenny's Accounting Test Jenny is a student in her second semester at NAIT. Jenny is a hard-working student who doesivery well in all her courses. Her marks in all her courses have been good in the past. Assignments for her marketing class and communications class were due on the morning of the same day, and a quiz in accounting class was scheduled for the afternoon. Jenny submitted both of her assignments on time, but she failed the quiz; she had studied but not near as much as she usually would. When jenny's accounting instructor saw Jenny's mark, she thought to herself, "I covered all of this material and gave the students plenty of practice. Jenny must not have studied." Discussion Questions 1. When Jenny's accounting teacher received Jenny's submission, it was only half completed. She checked the time of the submission and saw that it was just barely on time. If her accounting teacher was using fundamental attribution error, explain how they would attribute the problems with the assignment. 2. If Jenny was using self-serving bias, explain how she would attribute the late assignment. 3. What potential challenges/risks, etc., do you see arising out of this situation?
