Original Question - In Chapter 12, you read about creativity. What are some of the creative processes you have used in the past? What processes has your team used to solve some of the problems the team has faced?

Initial Post - Creativity is a tool that helps solve problems in ways that go against the status quo. I have often fallen short in my work because of inflexible ways that I used to approach work. I remember that I used to assign specific hours for my college work and others for my training sessions at the gym. I felt that success relied on me sticking to those training hours no matter what. I painfully learned that I should not focus on managing time rather I must worry about managing myfocus. I cannot know how much work I need to do every week therefore I do not know how long it will take. I am currently waking up early and focusing on my priorities without looking at the clock. I only look at the clock if I need to be somewhere at a specific time otherwise, I do not look at the clock as I work. This has helped me to be able to finish my work with better quality.

This is a creative way of managing my time since it goes against what I learned over my years in school and college where a schedule for each class was assigned. However, since I am no longer a child that needs to be told when to do his work I perform better without a schedule. Not focusing on abiding by a schedule makes me check the boxes of what I need to do in the day easier and with better quality, it has also taken my stress away and make me adjust better to achieve deadlines.My team has been creative in the sense that we have found ways to finish our work on time together. Our team uses email to assign work and figure out the details of each project while we use video calls whenever we need to discuss something of greater relevance such as the team dynamic vision and mission. We have decided to not use too many team meetings because that usually takes too much of our time making us overthink and procrastinate. This way we have managed our team well by ensuring proactiveness and good decision making. This is a creative approach since we have decided to not do weekly meetings and rather focus on speed of implementation. We have develop trust on each other which has made us to not have not need to consult everything.
