Our client is facing inefficient time management skills due to being a single mom. The characteristics of the client (the single mother), her circumstances (being a single parent), and the context (her daily routines and responsibilities). The client's inefficient time management comes from having to work a full-time job and sometimes having to pick up doubles to provide for her family. This effect has caused our client to be self-critical, affecting her mental health dramatically. Leaving her stressed and less productive she doesn't have time to spend with her children.
The problem is appearing in the mental aspect of our client. It's evident in her inability to effectively manage her time which leads to a lack of quality interactions with her children. This can impact various aspects of her life, such as her work-life balance and her children's emotional well-being. She is lashing out at her children due to the fatigue of having to work double shifts. She is sad because she doesn't recognize herself, and doesn't mean to take it out on the children, which causes her to cry behind closed doors. Mentally she has accepted she is not a nurturing mother because she has chosen to work versus spend time with her children.
The purpose of our study is to find the best intervention to help this single mother manage her time and alleviate the stress she is experiencing mentally by lashing out at her children and crying behind closed doors. As well as for our client to learn how to manage her emotions and actions more effectively. This study aims to provide practical solutions and interventions based on evidence-based practices.
