Description This is a team-level assignment. Only one team member needs to submit the final document. All team members receive the same grade. At this point in the quarter, your team should have a solid plan in place for how to go about completing your team project. The purpose of this assignment is for you to define more clearly what your project is intended to do for the organization you have chosen and to give me an opportunity to provide you with early feedback and guidance on your project. Please submit a document that includes the following: A. Information about the organization you are studying - Name of organization = LA Fitress - Identify if there is a specific unit within the organization that you will be focusing on - Size of unit you will be studying (how many employees, approximately, work within the unit that you are focusing on?) (20-30 people) - Purpose of the organization: What do they do? What industry do they operate in? (Fitness/Health) (Provide evipment/training to enhance peoples health.) B. A problem statement with the following components: - Define the problem: What is the problem that you are trying to solve for the organization? Who is impacted by the problem? Be as specific as possible. - Evidence that supports the existence of the problem (how do you know this is a problem?). And Find Sdution. - Explanation of why the problem is critical to address: Why does it matter? = (Why do they earn borely anyilhing/why are there conflicts?) (People ase not staying to work - What are the possible reasons for why the problem exists? Do you have any clues yet from your research about the organization and the problem? Problem - Torn-ver Rate - A list of references that you have used to help you write this problem statement (See note about citations below). As mentioned in the team project overview, once you have an inclination as to what the problem might be, you need to start your research on the particular problem, starting with the textbook. You want to include those citations in this section of the paper so I can get a good understanding of the resources you have used to jumpstart your research for this problem. Format: Essay style - no bullet points please. Maximum of 4 pages double-spaced (Times New Roman, 12-point-font, inch margins). The citations page does NOT count towards this page count. Feel free to include tables, figures and/or appendices; those also do not count towards the page limit and provide you with a great opportunity to communicate critical information succinctly and efficiently (i.e., organizational structure, cultural values).
