Out of the three fields provided in the Helms and Rogers text, the field I found most interesting is social psychology. Social psychology is the study of how an individual's thoughts, feelings, and actions are affected. The sub-felid which interests me in social psychology is the study of attitudes and group dynamics I find it interesting to study on how people behave and think in social situations. The behaviours are so predictable but at the same time so unpredictable. Each person differs in many ways but somehow becomes similar when put in the same social setting. I could gain practical experience by volunteering in different places to get an idea about the different cultures and how different cultures affect your personality. I can participate in community projects or initiatives that require collaboration. This can help me get an idea of the different group dynamics and attitudes within a community setting. I could also involve myself with nonprofit organizations focused on social issues. This could also help me get an idea of the different social issues.
