Overview

In this discussion, we will consider the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy and global trade now and in the future. Although the world has mostly reopened, the effects of the pandemic are still being felt. You are responsible to post a response to the discussion prompt by THURSDAY, and then at least four comments on classmates' posts by Sunday. You must post to the forum on at least three days of the week.

Reading

Rather than give you articles to read, I'm asking you to look for articles yourself. The library databases are available (http://library.gmu.edu/). You may also use Google; however, be sure to consider source credibility when selecting articles. Consider the publication where you found the article and its author when assessing credibility.

Again, the topic is the impact of COVID-19 on the global economy and global trade now and in the future. Note the word "global." Articles discussing the economy of a single country don't meet that requirement. You should read at least three high-credibility articles matching this requirement. Your articles must have been written no more than nine months ago, to make sure the information is current.

Your post should answer the following:

1. List the articles you read--source, title, and link.
2. Summarize the key facts and arguments from the articles. You can one article at a time or, if you prefer, you can synthesizre them.
3. Do you agree with the authors? What future effects on global trade do you think we will see?
