Oxford dictionary defines plagiarism as "the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own." If you ask ChatGPT to describe a sunset, it will give you a response, but these systems have never experienced a sunset. The only way it could respond is by "passing off ideas as its own." Does that mean that these generative Al systems are plagiarism machines?
