Pak Abdul had been the guardian and looking after the welfare of Siti Maryam while she was a minor. He had incurred expenses to send her for education. But he did this voluntarily, and, in order to do so, was compelled to borrow money from the bank. When Siti Maryam came of age she assented to the transaction.
