Pallan Musonda, Mary Musonda and Jackson Moyo are three Zambians suffering from cancer. They have been surviving on generic cancer drugs from Thailand. Recently the Zambian Parliament passed a law making all generic drugs illegal as they infringe on the intellectual property rights of big drug companies. However, the above named persons cannot afford the drugs provided by the said big international drug companies as they are too expensive.

In the meantime, whilst undergoing a mastectomy (removal of the breast) Mary Musonda who suffers from breast cancer lost her right breast instead of the left where the cancer had been detected. This was all done at University Teaching Hospital (UTH). The doctors have in fact admitted this mishap.
