Part 1:

1. Download and install the Wireshark at www.wireshark.org. (Make sure you use correct address!!!)

2. Start Wireshark and capture network traffic

3. Take a screenshot of the summary window from Wireshark and paste it to a Word document

4. Open a separate Web browser window and go to www.ccac.edu to generate some network traffic.

5. Go back to the Wireshark window and start capturing network traffic again

6. Click Stop to stop the capture after 15 or 20 seconds. Then you should see the new captured network data loaded in Wireshark window. Take another screenshot and put into same word document.

7. Right below your screenshots, write two short paragraphs (about 150-200 words for each paragraph) right below the summary screen capture: one paragraph about what you have learned about Wireshark and network sniffing; the second paragraph about the benefits and risks of using wireshark. Document any sources used.

Part 2:

Perform a NMAP scan. Take a screenshot of your results. Write a short paragraph on the results. https://nmap.org/
