You are able to instantly sing along and remember all of the lyrics. Your friend looks at you like you are crazy, but you are so excited to hear this song!

Part 2 Discuss the following questions:

1. Which song came on the radio (the song must be rated PG!)? What is the title of the song? Who sings this song? When did this song become popular?

2. What was it about this song that made it so memorable to you? Was it a catchy melody? Was it something about the lyrics?

3. How many times were you exposed to the song as a child/adolescent before you memorized it?

4. Is there a special memory tied to this song? In other words, when you hear this song, where does your mind take you?

5. What do you think is the connection between music and memory? Why is music so powerful?
