Part 1: Interview and Assessment

Interview someone you know who is in the period of middle adulthood. During the interview record their responses regarding the following:

1. Their stress level
2. Self-care that they use.
3. Their mental health and wellness currently, and spiritual strategies they use.
4. The impact of sexual identity and different or changing family structures (divorce, dating, and raising children) during middle adulthood.
5. The impact of culture, race, religion, spirituality, and gender on middle adulthood.
6. The risk and protective factors of middle adulthood that are identified in the text.

Assessment:

1. During the interview, use the assessment tool you developed to assess their stress level.
2. Discuss their responses to the assessment tool and the results of the assessment.

Part 2: Essay

1. Summarize your interview regarding the items you addressed above.
2. Identify the risk and protective factors you believe impact this person.
3. What additional coping strategies would you recommend for them?
