Part 1: Report on Population Policy in Country X Choose the same country you chose in the final report Answer the following questions in a report (i.e. essay ) format as if you are the Economic Adviser to the newly appointed Prime Minister of your chosen country and writing your report to the newly appointed Prime Minister. Use suitable headings for each Question. Answer the following questions for your chosen country : a ) Provide an overview of population size /population growth in your chosen country. (Hint: You might want to use tables and figures. You might want to compare population size /growth in your chosen country relative to other developing countries , or to other neighbouring countries , or to other countries of similar income for example). b) is the size of population and / or the rate of population growth in your chosen Country a concern for its economic development ? (Hint : Use economic models /economic analysis and actual data on your chosen country to substantiate your answer.) c) Explain using Microeconomic theory why fertility in your chosen country is an economic rational decision ? (Hint : Use economic models /economic analysis on fertility and actual data on your chosen country to substantiate your answer.) d) Suggest and evaluate TWO policies to deal with the causes and consequences of population growth in your country. (Hint: When evaluating your policies , consider direct /indirect impact , feasibility and priority ). This report (Part 1) must be a maximum of 1000 words in length and be in PDF format .
