A. Fully explain the arguments that the victims of crime might share responsibility with their offenders are common in victimology. what does this mean? Within this essay, fully explain the concepts of victim facilitation, precipitation, and provocation as well as victim blaming, victim defending and system blaming. Give examples when helpful/necessary.

B. Assume a scenario where a husband has a long history of physical abuse toward his wife and children. The wife's order of protection and previous complaints to the police have not stopped the abuse. One night, the wife shoots the husband in his sleep. Examine this scenario from the perspectives of "victim blaming," "victim defending," and "system blaming."

Part 2: Routine Activities and Lifestyle Theory

A. Explain what the Routine Activities and Lifestyle Theory are as they relate to victims of crime.

B. Then, review the lifestyle and routine activities of the typical college student. Explain some of the most dangerous things they do in terms of exposure to criminals? What could they do to reduce their risks? What changes would be impractical or unworkable?

C. Now apply the same questions to your own life (whether you fit the "typical" college student model or not - some of you will, some will not). Even if you do not fit the typical student profile, we all do things that put ourselves at risk in our daily lives. Think about some of these things and your lifestyle and answer the above questions.
