Purpose:Assume you have applied for a graduate role ateither Toyotaor Amazon Australia.As part of this application, you have been asked to write a reportexamining management aspects of the organisation to which you applied.

This business report provides you with an opportunity to strengthen the skills and apply the feedback you gained through completion of A1.1. Use the Business Report format (see pp. 4-5 below) to guide you on the sections required in your report.

There are two tasks you must complete in your Part 2 (A1.2)Final Business Report. You must complete and submit all two tasks within the body of your report.

Task A1.2.1:Briefly summarise the components of an organisation's specific external business environment. Then identify and evaluate the potential impact of customer evident in 2023-24 that may affecteitherToyotaor Amazon Australia. Support your discussion with examples relevant to your selected organisation.Begin your research by reading Chapter 3 of the text. In your answer you must attempt to include:

  • essay format up to a maximum of 500-words (includes citations but not the reference list)
  • DEAR to define, explain, apply, analyse, and critically evaluate the ideas used in your essay.
  • one or more citations from the prescribed MMM132 textbook
  • one or more citations from a relevant peer reviewed Management academic journal article
  • one or more citations from a reputable source about your chosen organisation or their website
  • one or more directly quoted citations usingAPA7
  • one or more paraphrased citations usingAPA7
  • a reference list of all the sources used in this task (A2.1) usingAPA7

Task A1.2.2:Define and explain the Social Responsibility (SR) of an organisation. Analyse the approaches taken byeither Toyotaor Amazon Australiato SR in 2023/24 and evaluate how this organisation has responded to the Sustainable Development Goal.Begin your research by reading Chapter 4 of the text. In your answer you must attempt to include:

  • essay format up to a maximum of 500-words (includes citations but not the reference list)
  • DEAR to define, explain, apply, analyse, and critically evaluate the ideas used in your essay.
  • one or more citations from the prescribed MMM132 textbook
  • one or more citations from a relevant peer reviewed Management academic journal article

Each of the above two tasks in A1.2 should be a maximum of 500 words and must cite the prescribed MMM132 textbook, one or more peer reviewed Management academic journal article, and one or more reputable sources and/or the website of your chosen organisation.

  1. Submission Requirements
  • Submit A1.2 in one single MS Word document (not PDF or Pages).
  • Part A1.2 requires you to write a Final Business Report (see Business Report format above).
  • Line-spacing should be 1.5 except in the reference list which should be single spacing.
  • Include a footer on each page with the page number.
  • UseAPA7 citing and referencing every time you cite information that is not an original thought.
  • Your submission will be penalised if you collude, co-author, plagiarise from others, or self-plagiarise.
  • Do not resave or rename the saved copy after the submission date as you may need to submit your pre-due date backup copy if your assignment cannot be seen/read in the Deakin system.
  • Keep a backup copy of both assignment submission confirmations until you see your grade.
  • Submit your assignment in the Assignment Dropbox site on or before the due date. Do not email the assignment to the teacher.When uploading your assignment, name your document using the following syntax: . For example, 'Jones_Barry_123456789_ABC123.doc'.
  • Submitting a hard copy of this assignment is not required. You must keep a backup copy of every assignment you submit until the marked assignment has been returned to you. In the unlikely event that one of your assignments is misplaced you will need to submit your backup copy.
  • Any work you submit may be checked by electronic or other means for the purposes of detecting collusion and/or plagiarism and for authenticating work.
  • Late submissions will automatically attract a penalty as per the policy. Submissions after 5 days will result in a zero mark for this task unless an extension or a Special Consideration is approved.
  • If a student submits an incorrect assignment and requests to resubmit the intended assignment at a later date, then the request for such resubmission be only accepted if the original assignment has no evidence of any editing after the assignment due date.

Executive summary

This is a summary of the whole report. Briefly outline the task(s) you were asked to perform, the methods you used to find information to address these tasks, your conclusion to each of these tasks in relation to your chosen organisation. This heading should not be listed in the Table of Contents (Approximately 250 words)

Table of contents

List and number theheadingsof the main sections and sub-sections of your report. (Use the MSWord template provided in the unit site to learn to create heading styles, sub-headings, and an automatic Table of Contents - TOC)

Introduction

Set the scene; give some background information about the report/organisation; state the aim/purpose of the report. Provide an outline describing the main sections in the body of the report (Approximately 200words)

Body of Report

Two task sections

Organisethebodyofthereportinto twosections.Each section should cover each of the two tasks with clearly numbered section headings and subheadings.

Your discussion in each task should use DEAR format to:

  • define and explain management theories and concepts
  • analyseand relatethese theories to the chosen organisation
  • include critical analysis and evaluation
  • cite sources from the textbook, peer reviewed Management academic journal articles, and at least one reputable source on your chosen organisation
  • write in third person for Tasks 1.2.1 and 1.2.2
  • write 500 words per task

Conclusion

Summarise key points from your report. Use the information from each task in the body of your report to inform your conclusion. (Approximately 150 words).
