Part 2: Case Law

1. In Lexis, run a guided search for law review articles that have been published within the last year related to beer brewing in Austin, TX. You may use natural language or terms and connectors.
   1. How was the search conducted? Be specific.
   2. How many articles were found? List one of the titles that was found helpful.
2. In Lexis, run a different guided search for Texas state cases related to Austin, Texas beer breweries from the last five years. You may use natural language or terms and connectors.
   1. What were the search terms?
   2. How many cases were found? Provide the name of the first case on the list.
   3. Using the case found above, select "Shepardize this document" on the right-hand side. How many citing references can be found (if any)?
3. Go to Westlaw and choose to conduct a case law search. Using the same search terms which were used in question 2a, find Texas state cases related to beer breweries in Austin from the past five years.
   1. Were the same number of cases found in Lexis? What differences in results, if any, can be spotted?
   2. List the name of a case that was found.
   3. Using the case listed in Part b, select the "Citing References" link above the case name. What is the title of the first citing case?
