X years from 1950 - 2015

Y Children Per Woman

I don't think this relationship is exactly linear but it does have a negative linear trend, which means as years increase the number of children per woman decreases.

The slope is decreasing 2.5 children over the course of 65 years or 3.8% a year.

I don't think the rate will continue to drop as severely as negative linear growth but will hover around 2 children for the next 10 years.
