Part 2—Jeopardy
This is Jeopardy! Jeopardy is a long-running game show wherecontestants are given the answer and have to come up with thequestion. The game is played in three rounds, with the final roundbeing just one question long. On the sheet labeled "Questions", allfinal jeopardy questions are listed from the start of the showthrough January 2012. You are preparing to be on the show and wantto practice by looking at a sample of these final questions. Let'stry various sampling techniques to get your list ofquestions.
On the Questions sheet, label each of the 3,631 with a number, from1 to 3,631. (Hint: Finding a formula to drag down will save you alot of time. Once all numbers are there, highlight column B, cutand paste it on top of itself, but under paste options, choose topaste the values only. If you don't do this step, you'll havetrouble with simple random sampling.)
Systematic Sampling:
Suppose you want a sample of 75 questions. Determine the values ofN and n. Calculate the value of m, rounded to the nearest wholenumber, then have excel randomly select an appropriate value ofk.
N =. n= m =. k=

Determine which questions will be part of your sample.
Stratified Sampling:
Suppose you want to sample 75 questions, but with proportionalallocation based on year. How many questions would need to berandomly selected from each year? (Don't actually find the
sample for this technique.) Why aren’t all
