Part 4; creating a new page and learning from others' work: Read carefully "Top Ten Web-Design Mistakes" by Jakob Neilsen at http://www.nngroup.com/articles/top-10-mistakes-web-design/. Pick two Web sites you particularly like and two you particularly dislike. Then, write a critique of each of the four sites describing what you liked and disliked about each one. Consider Neilsen's list as you write your critique. Don't write more than the equivalent of one typed page per site. Be sure to identify any mistakes in either the good or the bad Web sites that appear on Neilsen's list. Your writing should show me that you've read and understood what's in Neilsen's list; the easiest way to do that is to refer to Neilsen's numbered items as you point out the good, the bad, and the ugly in the Web pages you critique. Be sure you write enough for each critique to cover completely each of the points in Neilsen's list that apply to the pages you choose.
