  • What is your research question? Who are your subjects? What is the observational setting? What is your procedure for data collection?
• List a formal checklist. Make sure to include the operationalized (specific) behaviors you will observe. Take detailed narrative notes as well.

  • Your observation checklist of operationalized (specific) behaviors
  • Narrative notes from the observation.
  • Your answers to the following questions: What challenges did you face in writing your field notes? Are they similar to, or different from, the challenges you described in Part A of this discussion board forum? How will you turn these challenges into strengths?
