Set plate separation d to 10.0 mm (0.01 m). Keep d constant throughout the experiment. 7. Start with a plate area A of 100 mm. Record the Capacitance C in your data table. 8. Repeat step 7 with 8 different values of A up to 400 mm?. Note that you can change the value of A by sliding the arrow. 9. Plot a graph of C (vertical axis) vs A (horizontal axis) You should change your values of A to m' for plotting. 10. What is the slope of your graph? 11. Using the value of your slope and Equation 3, determine the dielectric constant K for paper. 12. The accepted value K for paper is 3.5.
