Part One of the the assignment needs to be completed by the last day of class - you may submit any time before.

• Resources including training, books, pod casts, TED Talks, and other materials / education that have influenced your leadership style OR would be a resource to improve skills, management styles, etc. Look at the syllabus and use this as a guide when you are considering the resources to share. These are professional resources - beyond local supervisor, mentor - please do not share people you know personally like a parent, employer, etc.
• After the resource -write 1) why this was a valuableresource and 2) how it will contribute to improving the work you do
• It may benefit you to write your name as a header and put your resources underneath in bullet points / outlined
• Include at LEAST ten resources - they are out there you just need to explore.
• Each resource is worth ten points-4 points for the resource listed, 3pointsfor the whyand3 points for the how

Simon Sinek - Start with Why - This was a beneficial resource for me in my work as it allowed me to consider why everyone was sitting at the table. It is often hard to engage individuals with your purpose but when you get to their"why", it becomes a meaningful experience and the individuals become more involved in the work. Because of this book, I have changed some of my approaches to meetings and involving others in my work.
