Calvin Vollink Thursday 1.) Although I will touch on why each of the administrative actions are important, the most advisable one to me is personal values. In my opinion, if somebody has the right personal values, the rest will follow. When personal values are set to a high moral standard, the regime values will follow those personal traits as well as ethical codes. A strong argument can be made that regime values may be the most valuable as they are what really affects everybody else and set policies into place. I am banking on the idea that if personal values have good morals, good regime values will come with that. One of the more interesting administrative actions to me is moral tradition. It can be conflicting at times as I believe tradition is good a lot of the time. sometimes more forward thinking and progressive actions need to be made in order to make the community a better place to it can be hard to grasp those boundaries. Tradition can be important in leading a community because it can contribute to a sense of comfort and belonging which typically will help strengthen communities. The term "if its not broke don't fix it" is thrown around a lot and can definitely be true at times, however, communities also need to be flexible and adaptive to our ever changing world. 2.) These published debates raised the eyebrows of many while touching on the important topics of professionalism, responsibility, and accountability. These debates sparked the question on whether or not these public administrators should be responsible for society as a whole while also questioning how much accountability they should hold for there actions. I believe that as a public administrator, you are also a leader in society so you should hold yourself to those standards and act as such. When your decisions have a larger impact than many while also affecting others, I think you should absolutely be held accountable for your actions
