Patience is 16 years old and really wants to see the latest 18 certificate horror movie at her local cinema. She purchases her tickets online and ticks a box to confirm that she is of age to see the film when completing her purchase. Unfortunately, she does not get in to see the film because the ticket line on the night is supervised by Ollie, a student at her school. Patience knows Ollie does not like her so decides not to try to enter to save the embarrassment of being turned away.

Ravi also wants to see the film. He is old enough but does not have any money to buy a ticket. So he stands near the barrier waiting for Ollie to be distracted by a customer, and when he sees he is not looking he ducks under the tape and gains access. Finding an unoccupied seat, he really enjoys the film.

The customer distracting Ollie is his girlfriend Suvi. Ollie gives Suvi his staff discount card which she uses to buy a reduced-price ticket for another film that is showing that night.

Ollie had already bought Suvi a fizzy drink from the counter. Suvi is very thirsty however and refills her cup from the dispenser when she thinks she will not be spotted. The cinema manager however sees this and stops her, though he is surprised when Suvi says she did not realise that she needed to pay for the drink because she is American and thought that refills were complimentary.
