Patsy drops her granddaughter Karen off Jurong interchange last Monday for Karen to take the bus to Woodlands to meet her friends. Karen's coach driver, Danny sets off on the journey and swerves to avoid a car driven by Ewan. Ewan has swerved onto the wrong side of the road. The coach misses Ewan's vehicle and crashes into a petrol station, hitting the petrol pumps and bursting into flames. Karen is killed in the fire. Danny suffers injuries.
