Pau Soler, sales manager at Quimicas Bages, thought back on those words one afternoon in January 2019. They had been spoken by Tote Rey, the Consumer Division's distributor for Valencia, Castellon, Alicante and Murcia (see Exhibit 1 for a map of the region). Soler had to decide whether or not to cancel Rey's distribution contract and give it to another distributor in the area. The decision would affect various people, and Soler wanted to analyze all the alternatives and their possible consequences. He would have to bear in mind the friendship between Rey and the owners of Quimicas Bages, and consider how that might influence his decision
