There are a few examples of my own that I have in mind of "paying for performance." One example could be a company that deals with sales, sets a goal for their employees, stating that if they exceed their quarterly sales target by a certain percentage, then they could receive some sort of bonus for the work that they put in. This could either be individually based or it could be team based. There are also holiday rewards that could be given out if the team completes a project before the due date
